Elastomers

Elastomers are solid polyurethane rubber and plastic products which range from very soft and gel-like to extremely hard and durable. They may be found in the automotive industry as spoilers, bumpers, or truck bedliners, or in the furniture, art, and construction industries as decorative mouldings, frames, and concrete stamping tools. The entertainment industry uses elastomers for movie props, sets, or mannequins, and the sporting goods industry uses them to manufacture rock climbing walls, shoe soles, and in-line skate wheels. Elastomers are useful for industrial applications as coatings and sealants or as gaskets and liners. Polyurea spray systems are a special type of elastomer for applications requiring extreme weatherability and chemical resistance. Elastomers are also excellent for tooling or casting operations, and IPS offers an entire line of mold-making elastomers to replace silicone and latex in many applications.

IPS elastomers range from 10 Shore A to 95 Shore D in hardness and are available in a variety of gel times and demold times. Depending on your application, IPS elastomers can be sprayed via high pressure or low pressure equipment, hand or machine metered and mixed, rotationally molded, open cast, brushed, or rolled on as desired.
